2026 Pyramids Half Marathon: Run Through 5,000 Years of History
When you stand at the starting line of the half Marathon The Pyramids 2026 this coming December—as you look up, waiting for the race to begin—you won’t see any skyscrapers or a seaside promenade; You’ll find yourself not only in front of an important historical landmark, but in front of one of the Seven Wonders of the World that still stands to this very day, The Three Great Pyramids—the last of the Seven Wonders of the World still standing—bear witness to the depth of a civilization that spans five thousand years of history.
This is not a literary metaphor, nor is it a story from *One Thousand and One Nights*; it is, quite literally, the route of the 2026 Pyramids Half Marathon.
The 8th edition—bigger than ever
The eighth edition of the Pyramids Half Marathon will take place on Friday, December 11, and Saturday, December 12, 2026, on the Giza Plateau in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The event, which has come to be known as the largest Race A race in Egypt. The last edition of the race attracted more than 10,000 runners from over 120 countries. The upcoming edition promises even higher numbers.
The race is certified by AIMS—the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races—which is the international authority for certifying race courses according to global standards.
Race Categories and Schedule
The race features three categories over two days:

The race starts and ends in the heart of the Giza Plateau, with an iconic start and finish line set amid the three pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. It’s a route every traveler dreams of, taking you right past these wonders, with slopes and terrain that add a real challenge to the experience.
All categories are timed using the MyLaps system, the same system used at the Olympic Games and the Boston Marathon.
Registration Fees: Early Bird Registration Is Still Available Through July 31

What does a participant get?
The official PUMA race T-shirt, a backpack, an entry wristband, an ID card with a timing chip, refreshments along the course, an entry pass to the Giza Pyramids complex, and a commemorative medal engraved with the phrase: “I Raced Through History.”.
Racing Exhibition
The race bib pickup event will be held at Mall of Arabia in the Sheikh Zayed area (west of Cairo) from Wednesday, December 9, through Friday, December 11, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Getting to the Race
Private vehicles will not be allowed into the Pyramids Complex; visitors must arrive via the official race buses departing from 10 locations in Cairo, or be dropped off and picked up at the gate. Bus passes are available for purchase on the race’s official website.

Registration is now open on the official website of The TriFactory. The early-bird offer at 2,500 Egyptian pounds is available only through July 31—hurry and sign up, as there are only two weeks left to take advantage of this offer.
