The Trail — Running Through History
What sets the Damascus Marathon apart from any other marathon in the region is the course itself. The race starts at the Damascus International Fairgrounds and passes through the city’s most iconic landmarks—from Bab Tuma to the Hamidiya Market, along “The Straight Street” where Saint Paul once walked, all the way to Tishreen Park. Every kilometer tells a story, and every step is taken on ground with a history stretching back thousands of years.
