Tower to Tower 2027: Registration is now open for Dubai’s most popular half marathon
A few years ago, in Dana al-Dunya, I stood at the starting line of a half- Marathon From Tower to Tower in Dubai, I ran alongside more than 15,000 runners from all corners of the globe, from the Emirates Towers in Jumeirah toward the Burj Al Arab along one of the most beautiful running routes in the Arab world. And since this was no ordinary race, I’m sharing some news with you today that’s worth your attention and should be marked on your racing calendars: the new edition of Race Tower to Tower 2027 is now open for registration.
Key Details
The Tower to Tower 2027 will take place on Sunday, January 24, 2027, in Dubai, covering a distance of 21.1 kilometers. It is classified as a “Gold Label” race by World Athletics (World Athletics Gold Label), which means a strong turnout of elite runners and official prize money.
The race often passes by Dubai’s famous landmarks, such as the Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Zayed Road, and the Burj Al Arab, as has been the case in previous editions; however, the exact route for the 2027 edition has not yet been officially announced, What is certain, however, is that the race will remain true to its concept and name—running between two of Dubai’s most prominent landmarks—just as it has in previous editions.
In the 2026 edition, more than 15,000 runners from 172 countries participated, with women accounting for 39 percent of the field; participants ranged in age from 16 to over 70. The previous edition was completely sold out, and organizers confirm that spots for the 2027 edition are also limited and registration may close early once capacity is reached.
